Recently, our English teacher showed our class a video clip which is about remembering our roots. This video stressed to us that it is important that our overseas Singaporeans feel and share their sense of belonging as Singapore is their homeland after all. After seeing this video, I feel that I am secured and safe living in Singapore. Singapore is a safe place to live in and I do have a strong sense of belonging to my nation. It is this strong sense of belonging that binds all Singaporeans together in one harmony and nation.
It is important to reach out to our overseas Singaporeans to remind them that their roots are still here in Singapore. They should finally come back to their homeland, Singapore, to do their part to make Singapore's economy prosper and a much better gracious country to live in.
